THE PRACTICE
Across mediums, DiStefano’s work examines the visible and invisible forces that shape who we become.
Her practice moves between physical gesture and conceptual inquiry: building, pressing, folding, erasing, documenting, layering, and creating instructions through which an artwork may be activated. Although the form changes, the central questions remain connected.
How does identity transform?
What do we inherit, remember, release, and carry forward?
What becomes visible when we learn to see differently?
